Great Annual Fish Count 2005
On July 9, members of the Dive Club of Silicon Valley
gathered at Lovers Cove in Pacific Grove, to
participate in the
REEF Great Annual Fish Count.
Divers exiting the water were excited to report excellent
visibility and sightings of relatively uncommon fish, such
as a Thornback Ray and a
Bay Pipefish.
Fish guides and fish experts were consulted
to confirm the identities of the various species
which were spotted underwater.
Afterwards, fish count participants enjoyed a
great BBQ lunch and the beautiful weather while
logging their dives and tabulating the results.
Another lovely day for diving.
